Our 4 Most Frequently Asked Questions

As much time as you want to give is the best answer we can give you. If your club can only meet once a week or every other week, then that is the time commitment. The schedule is entirely up to you. We will warn you though... you may want to hang out with kids more and more in a club setting.

Beyond these regularly scheduled meetings, you would attend one virtual meeting a month on the VGCUSA Discord or Zoom, to discuss goals and objectives for the upcoming month.

Question 2:
How much time is involved with running a gaming club?

Question 4:
What life skills will my students learn?

Mentoring kids to become socially active in their local communities through good deeds fosters a sense of responsibility, empathy, and connection. It empowers young people to make a positive impact, building their confidence and leadership skills. By engaging in community service, kids learn the value of giving back, develop a stronger sense of belonging, and contribute to creating a more compassionate and supportive society.

When you join our cohorts, you become part of a community of like-minded educators dedicated to making a positive impact on kids! Cohorts meet once a month online to discuss goals and objectives for building their rosters, identifying students who need SEL guidance, and planning yearly activities to transform your school's culture.

A typical year unfolds as follows:

- August to October: Meet your students and help forge relationships within your group.
- November to February: Encourage STEAM and STEM principles through small, planned projects.
- March to May: Shift the club's focus outward to practice philanthropy in your local communities.
